Kelly's Dance Recital DVD Details

Unlike last year we are getting started earlier by opening up the pre-orders for this year.  Last year, the delivery of the DVD was delayed by the late DVD orders coming in.  This year the DVD production will follow a schedule and the orders will only be available for a short time.  From now until June 19, 2011 the DVDs will be available for the pre-order price.  After the day of the performance, the DVD will be available at full price.  Also we will also accept online orders (available through PayPal) starting now.  Just visit our online store and see the page for the 2011 Kelly's Dance Recital DVD.   You will notice a price increase from last year.  That is because we have upgraded the video recording from standard definition to high definition.  This year we will be recording the Dance Recital in 720p.  720p and 1080i is the universal standard for broadcast television and will greatly improve the video resolution of this year's DVD.  With this price comes our guarantee.  We guarantee that on or before 7 weeks of the recital, you will have the DVD in your hand or the DVD is free.  You have nothing to lose in this offer.  Why so long?  Well here is a brief breakdown of the schedule that we will follow in the production of the DVD.

Weeks to follow June 19, 2011.

Weeks 1 - 2:

• Importing all footage from the recording of the dance recital
• Editing of footage
  • During this stage, each dance sequence is edited individually.
  • The natural sound is mixed with the CD audio to capture the crowds response.
• We will be posting samples of some of the dance numbers for you to view so that you can see what you will be receiving.

Week 3: (Quality Control)

• This is a very important part of the process.  This is where we will watch the entire performance from start to finish, several times, to ensure that the DVD is mistake free.
• We have set a day to meet with Kelly for her to view each number to make sure that we have chosen the right angles to properly show the dance as it was meant to be seen. 
• Although we cannot guarantee that each dancer will have a close-up, we will make sure that each dancer is shown on the video.

Week 4 - 6: (Duplication)

• This is where the final master copy of the DVD is sent to our duplicators to be duplicated into professionally authored and printed DVDs.  You will be given a DVD with a professional thermal color print inside of a full color DVD case.
• We allow for three weeks for this process to occur because of the distance that the DVDs have to travel.
• For an example of what the DVDs will look like, take a look at the DVDs that were produced last year.  We designed all of the art work, and we are currently in the process of designing this year's art work with this year's theme.

Week 7:  (Delivery)

• The DVDs will be available for pick-up at Kelly's Dance Studio and all DVDs that are to be shipped, will be shipped in this week.  Our guarantee stands that you will be able pick up your DVD or the shipment will be postmarked and sent to you in this week.
